Rainwater Pipes

Downpipes, (or drainpipes) are an integral part of any rainwater system. Whilst the guttering collects the rainwater from your roof areas, and transport it around your roofline to the outlets, the downpipes, in turn, carry the water to ground level where it is dispersed into your drainage system.
When installing Armadas’ Seamless Guttering, there are generally three options regarding the pipework:-
Powder Coated Aluminium Rainwater Pipes, being the more robust, most cost effective, longer term solution. uPVC Rainwater Pipes, being a less costly medium term solution. Or in most cases we are able to utilise the existing rainwater pipes if they are in a useable condition. It really comes down to the individual requirements and budgets.

Soffits
Our Aluminum soffit system is made up of interlocking panels. These panels are architecturally profiled and fully vented to allow air circulation around the roof timbers, which in turn reduces the risk of condensation.

Problems with plastic gutters
Ultra violet rays from the sun make plastic gutters brittle, causing them to shatter and crack. These same rays also weaken the brackets, causing the gutter to sag and pond. This allows mosses and lichen to build up, leading to overspill. The rubber seals at the joints, corners and ends perish within a few years. This coupled with the constant thermal movement causes the joints to part and leak. |
